Buffet guitarist performs at Arnold church

The member of Jimmy Buffet’s band wil be playing at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arnold later this month.
Peter Mayerwill appear for a show at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd.
Money raised from the event is intended to benefit Liz Neuf, a St. John’s missionary working in Papua New Guinea.
Hackman said he expects there to be an interesting mix of people in the crowd to see Mayer perform.
Mayer went on to study music and teach jazz guitar at Webster University.
Mayer was born in Tamilnadu, India. His parents were missionaries for 17 years. His mother and four of his sisters live in Crestwood.
Following the show, a Texas-style chili supper prepared by the Rev. Scott Patschke, the St. John’s associate pastor. The all-you-can eat meal costs $5 for those ages 6 and older. The charge for those 5 and younger is $2.50.
