Jimmy Buffett, a musician, hotelier and above all a charitable person, had given license to Outback Steakhouse to run a chain of restaurants under the name “Cheeseburger in Paradise” in August 2002. The concept of these restaurants was to provide its customers with maximum comfort and relaxation away from the hassles of their day to day activities. The Cheeseburger in Paradise had island like surroundings with colorful cocktails and live music and to add to it, Western style décor in a bid to woo customers into a party like atmosphere.

Jimmy Buffet sold his holdings in these restaurants to Outback Steakhouse Company in the year 2005 and now gets 4.5% as royalty fees from the total earnings from the restaurant business. After the closure of the first Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina, there has been an announcement for the closure of Michigan Cheeseburger in Paradise as well. The reason cited for this closure is that the parent company is going for a new strategic plan and these restaurants no longer suit the new plan of the OSI restaurant partners. The company has said that the closures are a business decision that the company had to take at a particular moment and that they will serve their loyal customers at some point in the future.

Jimmy Buffett is all set to conquer the readers of all ages with his new book titled “Swine Not” that is expected to be released on 13th of May 2008. This book talks about the adventures encountered by Rumpy, the pig in Manhattan city and Jimmy Buffett thought of writing this story based on the experiences his friend and his pet pig had when they moved to Manhattan. Rumpy is in New York City in search of her lost twin brother with her human friend and young owner Barley and the villain in the story is the head chef of the hotel in which they are staying.

As the story is based on the real events that took place in the life of Helen Bransford, the illustrator as well as the co-author of the “Swine Not” it can claim much originality. The playful narration as well as simplicity of the story will be definitely appealing to the readers. It is exciting to read how, Rumpy the pig overcomes the threats and obstacles faced by her while she stayed in the city. Although the book was originally a children’s book, Jimmy Buffet with his imagination and creativeness has turned it equally amusing for adults.
