Jimmy Buffett fans are eagerly waiting for his 2008 tour dates to be announced. There were some rumors that he will be playing on April 28 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas. If this is true, then this will be his second year to play there.
While waiting for his tour dates, you can check out ‘The Bluegrass Tribute to Jimmy Buffett,’ a tribute CD that is already available online. The tribute CD features music from Buffett’s roots, Nashville. Various artists sing and perform his music, adding a bluegrass twist to it with the use of banjo, guitar, mandolin, and dobro. This will be a treat for all Buffett fans.
For a little bit of news, an article about Jimmy Buffett came out just recently on the Palm Beach Post. The article says that some friends of his pilot Randy Leslie are accusing him of not caring about Leslie’s discharge from service after 15 long years. It can be remembered that Leslie came into Margaritaville when the Jamaican police wrongly identified Leslie and his boss to be drug runners. The police even fired upon the Buffett seaplane that Leslie was flying. What happened then became Buffett’s inspiration for ‘Jamaica Mistaica.’
