Jimmy Buffet and his partners got in to the sport of racing only in the last fall and they entered racing by having a claim of $50,000 for Pulaski County at Keene land. Pulaski County was able to take the command in the mid- stretch of the race and was able to maintain the lead. In wagering, Pulaski paid $7.80, $4 and $3.20 as the second option and the six furlong length was finished in 1: 12.54. The principal owner of last mango and the vice president of communications for NFL franchise, Greg Bensel was very happy about the win. Jimmy Buffet watched the performance of Pulaski County from his boat Last Mango III at St. Bart.
