Buffet is changing the venue of his Chicago area shows to the Toyota Park in Bridgeview after spending almost 17 seasons in the Amphitheatre of the Tinley Park. Buffet will make his debut at the new venue on July 24th. His fans at the South West suburb are waiting for this day. The hardcore fans of Jimmy from the nearby areas of Chicago used to flock to the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy to watch their idol perform. The Parrot Heads are happy about the shift of venue as they will be able to get into Toyota Park easily and it also has ample parking space.
The advantage of choosing Toyota Park is that it can accommodate 28,000 people. The General Manager of the Toyota Park informed that though Toyota is not an amphitheatre, it has 10,000 seats in the main area and 18,000 more seats are arranged in the style of All State Arena. More than 25% of the seating area is covered by high roof. Toyota Park manager is working hard to make this the permanent venue of Jimmy whenever he tours. The Mayor of Bridgeview is optimistic about the show as they were able to manage a crowd of 30,000 people who attended the Eric Clapton concert last year.

Jimmy Buffet has announced his summer tour dates and parrot heads are waiting to see Jimmy live in action. As Jimmy is planning for some spring time events with the parrot heads and others, Jimmy fans can expect a real treat from him this year. Buffet and Coral reefer band will do the first concert of tour named “The Year of Still Here” in Dallas this April. In May the band will give performance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival which is one of the biggest events in the music world. Buffet’s June and July shows are at Philadelphia, East Troy and a two day show at the Toyota Park, in Illinois.
Through this summer tour, Buffet is planning to popularize his 2006’s studio album “Take the Weather with You”. This album has become the second successive NO.1 in Billboard’s country- album chart. He did two or three live recordings in 2007 and the song “live in Anguilla” was performed in Caribbean islands during his recent show there. This will be performed in the Texas stadium when he visits this April. There is another reason for the parrot heads to celebrate and that is Jimmy is going to release his latest literary work in May.
