Jimmy Buffett was at his sublime form during the New Orleans Jazzfest last Saturday and the fact that even the rain gods stayed away from the concert site speaks volumes of this great performer. Buffett knows how to enter into the hearts and minds of the Jazzfest crowd and the fun that he achieves performing on stage did kindle the music passion of all the fans who had gathered there to watch their idol perform.

Jimmy Buffett performed “Come Monday” at the Jazzfest in the final 40 minutes of his concert with sounds of acoustic guitar and steel drums reverberating in the background. Buffett also performed songs like “Why Don’t We Get Drunk and Screw”, “Southern Cross” and the very popular “Fins” that was well appreciated by the Parrotheads and the New Orleans public at large. The icing on the cake was when Buffett finally performed “Do You Know What It Really Means to Miss New Orleans” along with Allen Toussaint on the electric piano.
