If you are interested in Jimmy Buffett, you will clearly know something about his style. He is a person who hangs out and enjoys life. He will have a little drink and then enjoy himself for awhile. Thus, it is only fitting that his brewery will be sponsoring a surfing event in Florida during the beginning of April. It’s going to be an interesting competition and the people will be surfing happily. For those people up north, I think that you might like to think about people surfing, because it suggests warmth and fun, whereas there’s been a blizzard in parts of the north lately.

There is a Jimmy Buffett impersonator out there. Tom Watt is one of a small group of Buffett mimics out in the world these days and he’s doing a nice job! Apparently, even those who are real fans wont actually notice much difference between them. Obviously, it’s not as good as the real guy. But he sings a good amount of the best songs and it’s a lot of fun. He will also encourage you to relax and enjoy the show. I don’t know if Jimmy has approved of this guy, but I think he’d be happy with anyone getting his music and style out there. He certainly gets royalties too, so that’s not too bad for him either.

The Buffett world is quiet again. This is really quite fitting for his world too, because he’s about relaxing and enjoying life rather than getting concerned about all the little things. In Spring it’s even more this way, because finally you don’t have to sit indoors trying to keep warm. No longer will you have to clench your muscles just to keep from freezing. Instead, you can wear your t-shirts and shorts and walk around outside without concern. You can lay down in the sun and smile. Put on the ball game or some music, and enjoy the warmth. This is what Jimmy is all about! Enjoying life to its full!

Jimmy Buffett just keeps giving people smiles and help! Even indirectly. Jimmy Buffett’s tribute band, the Baha Brothers will be playing a concert in Massachusetts which will give you the chance to hear his music, played in a thoughtful way to his honor. And you can attend wearing Hawaiian shirts and flip flops, if you want, and everyone will have fun and enjoy the show. And it will help you relax and get that stress out! And the best part of all: the concert will benefit schools in the Braintree, MA area! And if you’re not only into Buffett music, you can also hear the Baha Brothers play songs from the 50s all the way to the present day. The Jimmy Buffett world is very quiet today. We are interested in seeing the upcoming tour and to hear anything he might be recording right now. But since there isn’t much, I urge you to just hang out and enjoy life a little bit. It’s going to be a lot of fun this year, but you have to wait a little while! Don’t worry, it’ll be amazing!
Conch Shells

There was a competition this weekend where people in Key West played music by blowing into conch shells. Why do we bring this up on the Jimmy Buffett fan site? Because the winning group was a “Conchestra” playing a parody of Buffett’s “Volcano”. It was apparently a fun rendition and we were really happy to hear that it won as well. What kinds of unusual ways of making music can you think of to product Buffett’s music? Kazoos? Digeridoos? Any other ideas? Leave your comments today!

There isn’t much Jimmy Buffett news right now. He is preparing for his new tour and working on an album. He just finished in Hawaii, like I mentioned last time, and his tour in the rest of the US starts shortly. He’s probably just hanging out, since this is what Jimmy Buffett does. He’ll have a little drink and some other fun things to do. Then he’ll be in all kinds of different cities aroundt he country. Get ready! It’s gonna be amazing!

In Hawaii, Jimmy Buffett just finished his run of shows with a great show in Honolulu. It’s going to be a lot of fun to see what his show is going to look like once he gets back in the continental US. But where better to start his new tour than in Hawaii? That’s the best place for him to hone his show and give him a great feel for the relaxed comfortable style that he wants to have. Buffett is going to play a great show, again and again. And it doesn’t matter where you might see him, it’s going to be a lot of fun. Perhaps it’s not the best thing at this time of year, though a feeling like Margaritaville would be helpful when it gets cold out (hello, East Coast), it’s even better when it really is warm and comfortable outside.
