When Jimmy went to Boston this week, about 17,000 people were there to hear it and it was a great show. Many performers are good at doing something new and shocking. But Jimmy isn’t one of those. He doesn’t need to shock to be entertaining and fun. He just gives us the kind of show that we’re excited about everytime and it remains essentially the same each time. There were a few new songs, but everyone goes to his shows to have that experience that’s the same as the last time. It’s the feeling of fun, sun and relaxing that brings us back each and every time, isn’t it? It certainly is for me! If anyone will give you the feelings of summer like joy, excitement, romance, etc, it’s Jimmy. And this summer, more than most, we all need to be reminded of all those things, because we need to remember the little things in life!
Estefans to Join Buffett

As you all know already, Jimmy has a large stake in the Miami Dolphins now, so much that he has named the stadium after his own beer company, Landshark. It’s a good time for him because the team will give him quite a bit more notoriety with a new group of people as opposed to his usual crowd. Now comes news that Gloria Estefan and Emilio Estefan have bought a not-too-small stake in the team and it will be a great time for them to get in and get some higher visibility for themselves. If these people got together to make music, it would be amazing. We will soon see whether their coordination regarding a football team will yield the same kinds of fun! Not JUST the Music

Every Jimmy Buffett concert is not just a music extravaganza. It’s definitely true that the music is a lot of fun and people love Margaritaville and other songs that give you the Buffett feel. But remember, like many concerts, it’s not just about the music. It’s about the scene, about the atmosphere, and the people who are there. Buffett is one of the best musicians. Part of this is that the music has inspired people to feel happy and enjoy life a little bit. It gets people off of the fast-track of daily life and into an enjoyment of everything around them. There are a lot of fun people that you’ll meet at the concerts, friendly people who are enjoying things. Make sure that you come to one of his concerts this year!
Yet another Tribute

Jimmy Buffett has clearly inspired so many tribute bands that it’s almost hard to count. His music is fun and people don’t just want to hear it; a lot of people want to play the music too. Buffett is one of the best stars in the rock world and we would love to see him come to our town. But he’s just one man. So we can rely on some of these tribute bands to bring us his magic here or there. The music that he offers us is some of the most relaxing in the world. The band Parrots of the Caribbean is one of the most well-known tribute bands in the country. And this is the time when the tribute bands come out to play. make sure to enjoy some of his music live this summer! It’s just not summer without it.

This is high tide season for Jimmy Buffett tribute bands, like Key West. They will be playing at a particular festival this week and they have been playing in several different places over the last several weeks. We’ve talked about some of the other Buffett tribute groups. It’s going to be a fun summer all over the country, because even if the man himself isn’t coming to your area, there will be someone playing his music near you! Buffett is such a fun musician that you can really count on him to play the best songs for any occasion. Last year, he even wrote some songs about current events, which are not the usual subjects of his laid-back music! So get out, hear some music, and enjoy yourself!

Suddenly, Jimmy Buffett is going to be in Nashville. You might think that he’s a little bit outside the normal scope of his mission. After all, he’s all about summer and the sea, the beach. At the same time, Nashville is where he came from and where a lot of his fans still remain. Bonnaroo is one of the biggest music festivals in the area and he’s going to make a rather surprise appearance there. It’ll certainly be fun to see him there, because he usually doesn’t come. This is one of the interesting things about his Summerzcool tour so far is that certain parts of it seem to be improvised along the way. This is always exciting for people who unexpectedly get to see one of the most fun musicians around, and we’re hoping to catch him near us on a surprise visit too!

The Jimmy Buffett tribute band that we talked about last week will be the only Buffett band in Las Vegas for the time being. The MGM Grand venue in Vegas decided not to have him this fall, as had been previously rumored. People had thought that these rumors were true, but it is in fact not the case that he will be coming. He might be coming to another venue over there at some point along the line, but nothing’s been decided. The MGM Grand hadn’t actually booked him at any point, though he has played there for the last several autumns in a row. We’ll have to catch him elsewhere during his tour, or see Mr. Wood playing Buffett music!

When you want to see Jimmy Buffett, you can do so. He’s performing all over the place right now. But there are other possibilities too. There are lots of Jimmy Buffett tribute bands out there too! One of the most famous is Mark Wood, who is performing Buffett’s music in Las Vegas at the moment. It’s always a lot of fun to hear his music done slightly different from his usual way. When you have Jimmy Buffett or his music around, you can really relax and enjoy the sounds that he brings to the table. It’s so casual and you don’t have to act in a particular way, the way you might feel you have to when you are at some other kind of concert.
Trump Marina

The Trump Marina Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ, was supposed to be the newest addition to the Margaritaville family. They were going to rebrand it, revamp it and make it even better. But it was reported just in the last couple of days that the deal with the Trump people had been cancelled. Trump has a lot of different kinds of things going on, including buildings, stores, etc. But apparently the economic situation has stalled the project to the point that they decided not to pursue it any further. There are plenty of other kinds of Margaritavilles in the world where you can expect to hear the great music and relax in the Buffett way. And you can eat all the foods that he produces. Keep it in mind for your summer plans!
