We’ve figured out what this whole Dolphins thing is about. While the celebrity appeal of Miami is high in that area, and the whole idea of the warm beach is very fitting with Jimmy, perhaps it’s also a demographic positive. Many of the fans of Buffett’s music are over 50. Many of the people who live in South Florida are over 50. Coincidence? What about these other performers who are involved. The Estevans and Marc Anthony? Perhaps they will wrap up the younger crowd. Then again, do many people really watch a sports team for their minority owners? (that is, those with a somewhat smaller stake in the team) I listen to Buffett and watch the Dolphins regardless. Perhaps these performers will give the team some interesting things outside of the football, including halftime shows and such. We shall see.
