Swine Not?- A Novel Pig tale is making waves all over the US and it has notched the sixth position on the Best Sellers List of the New York Times. The book has been in circulation for only about a week or so and is getting popular among his fans and novel fanatics everyday. Jimmy Buffett has once again proved that he is a master when it comes to titillate the senses of his fans-be it through his music or through his books. Buffett’s last appearance on the New York Times best sellers list was in 2004 for his book “A Salty Piece of Land” that notched up the 3rd position.

Jimmy Buffett is going all out to publicize his newly released book “Swine Not? A Novel Pig Tale” and has consented to be the celebrity guest for many TV channels. One such show on MSNBC named “Today Show” had Jimmy Buffett talk about his latest book that went on air on May 11th. The new book is based on a true story of Jimmy Buffet’s friend Helen Bransford and her pet piggy Pinky and Buffett said that Helen was the inspiration behind this book. Jimmy Buffett said that his new book is not a kid’s book and is sure that it will lure all his fans to read the book.

Jimmy Buffett is all set to conquer the readers of all ages with his new book titled “Swine Not” that is expected to be released on 13th of May 2008. This book talks about the adventures encountered by Rumpy, the pig in Manhattan city and Jimmy Buffett thought of writing this story based on the experiences his friend and his pet pig had when they moved to Manhattan. Rumpy is in New York City in search of her lost twin brother with her human friend and young owner Barley and the villain in the story is the head chef of the hotel in which they are staying.

As the story is based on the real events that took place in the life of Helen Bransford, the illustrator as well as the co-author of the “Swine Not” it can claim much originality. The playful narration as well as simplicity of the story will be definitely appealing to the readers. It is exciting to read how, Rumpy the pig overcomes the threats and obstacles faced by her while she stayed in the city. Although the book was originally a children’s book, Jimmy Buffet with his imagination and creativeness has turned it equally amusing for adults.

Jimmy Buffett was interviewed by Steve Huntington this morning on Radio Margaritaville. He was at the airport to fly  for the benefit show in Hong Kong.  This will be the first time he will be playing in Asia.
Jimmy said he was going to Vietnam, Singapore, and then Dubai. He is not going to Australia this time, but he is planning on going in December  after Hawaii. Jimmy  said there were some exciting things coming up that he can’t talk about yet.

Swine NotFamed musician Jimmy Buffet will release a charming fable for all ages at the end of 2008. The book will tell us about the exciting adventure of Rumpy, a Manhattan pig. Jimmy got the inspiration to write the book of such a kind from a friend of his who really keeps a pig in Manhattan. According to Jimmy, this is going to be a funny story of family relationships displayed through the life of the family of pigs.
